Recycling Upcycling

Furniture design, Study project 2014

The construction idea is based on 100% recycled materials which are assembled with the minimum amount of efford and material. To build the chair are used 10 x 100 mm x 100 mm corrugated cardboards, which in case of a new purchase will cost not more than 15 euros. The chairs‘ comfort and esthetic design come due to its building technic of entaglement of the layers. Because of the cardboards‘ properties the furniture is light and in the same very stable through the direction of the waves. For the layers is used a laser cutter. The setup time is about 2 hours.
